Accessibility Statement

How we work to keep this site usable by everyone. Last updated 1 August 2026.

Clinical research information should be reachable by everyone who needs it, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We test as we build rather than auditing at the end.

What we have done

  • Every text and background colour pair on this site was contrast- checked against WCAG AA thresholds before it shipped, in both light and dark themes.
  • The whole site is operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring and a “skip to content” link as the first tab stop.
  • Semantic landmarks, a single h1 per page and a logical heading order, so screen-reader users can navigate by structure.
  • Form fields have real labels, errors are announced and linked to their inputs, and no field relies on colour alone to signal state.
  • Interactive targets are at least 44 px tall on touch screens.
  • Animation is suppressed for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
  • Light, dark and system themes, so people who need a specific contrast setting get it.
  • Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 px viewport.

Known limitations

We are not aware of significant barriers at present. Third-party content we embed in future — such as maps or video — may not meet the same standard, and we will note any such gaps here.

Tell us if something does not work
