Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information you give us through this website. It covers the website only — research participants receive separate, study-specific privacy information as part of the informed consent process, and that documentation takes precedence for anything relating to a study.

What we collect

The only information we collect through this site is what you type into the contact form:

• Your name and email address (required)
• Your phone number and organisation (optional)
• The nature of your enquiry and your message

Alongside your message we store a small amount of technical context: your browser's user-agent string, the page you submitted from, the referring page, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself. The hash exists solely to detect and slow automated abuse of the form — it cannot be reversed to recover your address.

What we do not collect

• We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or third-party pixels on this website.
• We do not buy, sell, rent or trade your information with anyone.
• We do not ask for, and you should not send us, patient-identifiable medical information through this form.

Why we hold it

To read and reply to your enquiry, and to keep a record of business correspondence. That is the entire purpose. We do not add contact form entries to a marketing list.

Who can see it

Enquiries are stored in a private database and are readable only by authorised Vagmi Research staff through an authenticated administrative interface. There is no public route to this data.

Our website is hosted on Vercel and our database with Neon; if email notifications are enabled, messages are delivered via Amazon Simple Email Service. These providers process data on our instructions as part of delivering the service.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiries for as long as needed to handle the matter they relate to, and to meet any record-keeping obligations. Entries that are no longer required are deleted.

Cookies

This website sets no tracking cookies. A single strictly necessary cookie is used to keep an administrator signed in to the private admin area; it is never set for ordinary visitors. Your light or dark theme preference is stored locally in your own browser and is never transmitted to us.

Your rights

You can ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. Write to us using the details below and we will respond as promptly as we can.
